Don’t miss the 21st annual R. Dietz Wolfe, M.D. Lectureship

Melissa L. Currie, M.D. Professor, Department of Pediatrics, Forensic Medicine University of Louisville School of Medicine

In 2016, Kentucky had the country’s fifth highest rate of deaths due to drug overdose. The opioid abuse epidemic is increasing, and addiction to opioids often begins with prescribed medications. Because of this staggering statistic, the 2018 R. Dietz Wolfe, M.D. Lectureship will focus on educating physicians and clinicians of the latest reporting guidelines and the ability to recognize the early symptoms of abuse and red flags of addiction.

The lectureship also will honor the 2018 R. Dietz Wolfe, M.D. Award recipient, Melissa L. Currie, M.D., professor, Department of Pediatrics, Forensic Medicine, University of Louisville School of Medicine.

The lectureship will take place Aug. 22, 2018, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., at The Olmsted in Louisville, Kentucky. To register for this continuing medical education live activity, visit NortonHealthcare.com/CME and click on “CME Activities,” or call (502) 629-1234, option 2.
