Free education classes for patients with heart failure

Norton Heart & Vascular Institute offers “Living Fully With Heart Failure,” a free class for patients who have been newly diagnosed with heart failure and those struggling to manage their condition.

“We want our patients to live a full life and reduce side effects while managing their heart failure,” said Kelly C. McCants, M.D., medical director, Norton Heart & Vascular Institute Heart Failure Program. “These classes will offer guidance on nutrition, exercise and stress management.”

It’s recommended that patients who have been diagnosed with heart failure attend this class. This is open to all patients with heart failure, whether they are a Norton Heart & Vascular Institute patient, or not. Family members are welcome. A Heart Failure Program specialist leads the class at various locations throughout the Norton Healthcare system.
