Integrative Health & Wellness Symposium is coming

Norton Healthcare is offering its fifth annual Integrative Health & Wellness Symposium for nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, physician assistants and other clinical personnel and caregivers. The symposium will be held on Thursday, May 10 from 7:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Sawyer Hayes Community Center.

The program content is devoted to caring for the whole person, including ways to incorporate holistic and wellness strategies into patient care and self-care. This year’s symposium features Andrea Beaman as the keynote speaker.

Andrea is a Natural Foods Chef, health educator, thyroid expert, holistic health coach and herbalist, dedicated to alternative

healing, and sustainable eating and living. Andrea was a featured contestant on Bravo’s Top Chef. She is a regularly featured expert on CBS News and hosted the Award Nominated Fed UP!, a cooking show that educates viewers on how to cook for, and cure bodily ailments. Andrea is recognized as one of the top 100 Most Influential People in Health and Fitness, received the Award of Excellence in Health Supportive Food Education from the Natural Gourmet Institute for Food and Health, as well as the Health Leadership Award from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.

Continuing education credits will be provided. Registration is available online and fees are $50 for Norton Healthcare employees, $60 for non-Norton attendees, and $25 for students/undergraduates (limited student slots available). Early registration is encouraged, as space is limited.
