Dr. Altoos graduated from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He completed his radiation oncology residency at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, Maywood, Illinois, where he served as chief resident. During his training he received Alpha Omega Alpha honors, an award given to trainees that have demonstrated excellence in their field.

Following his residency, Dr. Altoos worked as a radiation oncologist at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria and served as clinical associate professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Peoria. He also holds an affiliated faculty position at Loyola University Medical Center, Maywood as well.

Dr. Altoos is a member of many professional societies including the American Society for Radiation Oncology and American College of Radiation. He has produced multiple radiation oncology research papers and currently reviews articles submitted for publication.

Dr. Altoos is board certified in radiation oncology and sees patients at Norton Cancer Institute – Downtown and King’s Daughters’ Health in Madison, Indiana. He treats all disease sites with a particular focus on gastrointestinal radiation oncology.
