Reminder: Register now for the 22nd annual Primary Care Update

Registration is open for the 22nd annual Primary Care Update: A clinical update on the management of the adult patient. Provided by Norton Healthcare, this continuing medical education event will take place Friday, Nov. 9, 2018 from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Omni Louisville Hotel.

The goal of this activity is to bring together physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, residents, students and
other interested internal medicine and family medicine health care professionals to enhance competence, performance and patients’ outcomes.

This program will provide clinical updates on a variety of topics that are commonly seen in the treatment of adult patients in the primary care setting. In addition to updating attendees on clinical guidelines and best practices, presenters will include three to five pearls that will be relevant to primary care practitioners in their own practice settings. Physicians will learn best practices for commonly seen diagnoses to create evidence-based strategies to improve patient care. Topics will include nonopioid pain management, dermatology, LGBTQ patients, hypertension management, domestic violence, interpretation of the complete blood count, COPD, advanced heart failure, urinary incontinence, cancer, men’s health, after-stroke care, and common foot and ankle injuries.
