The 2019 Pediatric Orthopedic Symposium will provide information to help clinicians in Louisville and Southern Indiana identify hip pathology via medical history, exam and appropriate use of imaging.

Providers also will be equipped with an understanding of when and to whom to refer their patient.

Sessions at the Oct. 18 presentation will cover:

  • Pediatric orthopedic pathologies of the hip requiring orthopedic management.
  • Common causes of hip pain in children.
  • The need for specialty referral, multidisciplinary care and interprofessional communication.
