Norton Neuroscience Institute is recruiting multiple board-certified or board-eligible physicians for its comprehensive program in Louisville, Kentucky. The selected candidates will join more than 130 adult and pediatric neuroscience specialists who are part of Norton Neuroscience Institute and Norton Children’s Neuroscience Institute, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine.

More patients seek neurological care from Norton Neuroscience Institute than any other provider in Louisville and Southern Indiana. The institute features several multispecialty neurology centers, programs and clinics, allowing providers to focus on care for a specific discipline or patient population.

Norton Neuroscience Institute providers benefit from the flexibility and culture of a private health care system combined with the research priorities of an academic institution. Providers have access to continuing education through the Norton Healthcare Center for Continuing Medical Education, Provider & Nursing Education, as well as weekly neuroscience clinical conferences with neurosurgery and neurology providers.

About the Position

  • Either neurology or oncology residency training required; neuro-oncology fellowship training required
  • Ability to practice neuro-oncology exclusively
  • No inpatient call, including no required stroke call for neurology-based providers and no benign hematology call for oncology providers
  • Ability to create a case mix based on individual career interest
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary staff including neuro-oncologists, neurosurgeons, radiation oncologists, behavioral oncologists, neuro-psychologists, speech-language therapists, and neurological rehabilitation specialists, all coordinated by a dedicated neuro-oncology patient navigator

Requirements for the position
