Joshua K. Wu, D.O., is a nonsurgical orthopedic sports medicine physician with Norton Orthopedic Institute. Dr. Wu earned his medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine-Carolinas Campus, Spartanburg, South Carolina. He completed his family medicine residency at Riverside Regional Medical Center, Newport News, Virginia, and a sports medicine fellowship at Mountain Area Health Education Center, Asheville, North Carolina.
Dr. Wu also is part of the Norton Sports Health team. He is a board-certified family medicine physician with a certificate of added qualifications in sports medicine. He has experience with nonsurgical treatment of fractures, osteopathic manipulation treatment, performing ultrasound-guided injections and platelet-rich plasma injections, and managing athletic concussions. He believes in educating and collaborating with each patient on the best treatment to help them achieve their short- and long-term health goals.
Dr. Wu is a team physician at Hanover College, Indiana, and previously served as a team physician for various North Carolina universities and schools. He is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
When away from work, Dr. Wu enjoys staying active outdoors by hiking, kayaking and playing pickleball, as well as spending time with his wife, who is an athletic trainer, other family members and friends.
