The Pulmonary Hypertension Association has recognized Norton Pulmonary Specialists as a Pulmonary Hypertension Center of Comprehensive Care.

The combination of outpatient care provided by experienced pulmonologists and hospital interventions available at Norton Audubon Hospital provides the highest level of care for those facing pulmonary hypertension (PH).

Physicians at Norton Pulmonary Specialists, formerly Kentuckiana Pulmonary Associates, are principal investigators in numerous clinical trials and studies related to PH and pulmonary arterial hypertension. They also publish frequently in peer-reviewed journals.

The accreditation is valid through 2023. According to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association, the accreditation program aims to “raise the overall quality of care and outcomes in patients” with PH, with a particular focus on pulmonary arterial hypertension, because the condition can be life-threatening.
