Norton Neuroscience Institute recognized as a Center for Comprehensive MS Care

Norton Neurology Services and Norton Neuroscience Institute Resource Center, have been officially recognized as a Center for Comprehensive MS Care through the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Partners in MS Care program. This formal recognition – the second in Louisville – honors Norton Neuroscience Institute’s commitment to providing coordinated MS care and a continuing partnership with the society to address the challenges of people living with MS.

The Partners in MS Care program recognizes providers, like Norton Neurology Services and Norton Neuroscience Institute Resource Center, whose practices support the society’s initiative of affordable access to high-quality care for everyone living with MS, regardless of geography, disease progression and other disparities.

“We are so proud to partner with Norton Neurology Services, Norton Neuroscience Institute Resource Center and the entire team to enhance coordinated, comprehensive care for the people who live with MS in and around Louisville,” said Debra Eichenberger, executive director, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Kentucky-Southeast Indiana chapter. “In earning this recognition, they have demonstrated extraordinary leadership in MS care, making a tremendous impact on people affected by MS in our community.”

“This is a distinct honor to be recognized by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society for the care and dedication we provide to our patients,” said Robert S. Tillett, M.D., neurologist with Norton Neurology Services who specializes in MS care. “Between the clinical care provided at the physician office to the patient navigation and support provided at the resource center level, everyone on the team is working to support the patient.”

In addition to MS care, Norton Neuroscience Institute Resource Center provides support and resources to patients living with various neurological conditions. The resource center focuses on bridging the gap between managing care and improving quality of life. The staff provides educational, therapeutic, support and exercise programs, and can assist patients with:

  • Access to medical care
  • Social Security Disability Insurance resources
