Kara L. Scott, APRN, joins Norton Children’s Pediatric Protection Specialists

Nurse practitioner’s previous experience includes adolescent medicine at UK HealthCare and pediatric forensic medicine.

Kara L. Scott, APRN, an experienced nurse practitioner in pediatric forensic medicine, has joined Norton Children’s Pediatric Protection Specialists, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine.

Kara started her career as a nurse practitioner in adolescent medicine at UK HealthCare and moved on to the system’s pediatric forensic medicine department. She also has experience as a nurse practitioner in pediatric primary care.

Previously as a registered nurse, Kara worked in pre-admission testing at Norton Brownsboro Hospital and in the medical-surgical unit at Norton Children’s Hospital.

Kara received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, and a doctorate in nursing practice from the University of Kentucky, Lexington. She has been certified as a pediatric nurse practitioner since 2016.
