Pediatric neuroscience care expands in Bowling Green, Elizabethtown, Owensboro and Paducah.
New providers with Norton Children’s Neuroscience Institute, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine, are seeing patients in Bowling Green, Elizabethtown, Owensboro and Paducah, Kentucky, bringing sophisticated care closer to kids.
Norton Children’s Neuroscience Institute operates a network of outpatient care centers in the Louisville area, in Western Kentucky and in Corbin in Southeastern Kentucky.
The outpatient centers perform diagnoses, treatments and follow-up care. Children who need the specialized care provided at Norton Children’s Hospital can be transported by the “Just for Kids” Transport Team.
“For many of our patients’ families, making the trip to Louisville can mean a lost day at work in addition to the expense of perhaps staying overnight. That’s why we make it a point to keep office hours across the state,” said Amanda Rogers, M.D., a child neurologist and director of pediatric neuromuscular disorders with Norton Children’s Neuroscience Institute who practices in Louisville and Elizabethtown.
