A ribbon-cutting event marked the completion of a $31.8 million update of the Norton Healthcare Pavilion. As part of the project, nearby Norton Hospital expanded beds into the Pavilion.

The ribbon cutting, which took place on Monday, July 19, featured renovations to portions of the fourth floor of the Pavilion. It houses 31 medical, surgical oncology and intensive care beds. The third floor will be open and operational in September 2021 and will house 36 medical/surgical beds. Sixty-seven new beds were added to bring the total at the Pavilion to 101.

The expansion also provides:

• Access to more space to outfit with the latest technology for inpatient care
• Services available to more patients
• Amenities for patients and families, including laptop desks, device charging stations and a cafeteria space
• An additional operating room
• Pharmacy hub
