Norton Pulmonology Specialists has brought new providers on board to serve patients and has renovated the practice’s space.
Room to breathe for pulmonary care services
After almost a year of planning and construction, hiring, and relocating, Norton Pulmonary Specialists now has expanded pulmonary care capacity on the Norton Brownsboro Hospital campus. Additional rooms, more providers and a plethora of space means better care for pulmonary patients in the area.
Put simply, pulmonary care includes anything that affects breathing: allergies, lung disease, pulmonary hypertension and more. It also includes sleep medicine and sleep disorders such as sleep apnea.

New faces and new spaces
Besides the added physical space, new team members have come on board, including pulmonologists Benadin Varajic, M.D., and Sarika S. Chandiramani, M.D. Both are board-certified pulmonary critical care specialists. Some advanced practice providers have joined the practice, and Norton Pulmonary Specialists has plans to continue to grow.
The expansion includes five more exam rooms, bringing the total to 11.
“We also have double the space, so we really have room to grow,” said Keith Vanderpool, director, provider operations, pulmonary and critical care services for Norton Healthcare.
The expansion will offer faster appointment times for patients, which in turn speeds time to test, diagnose and treat sleep disorders and pulmonary issues.
