New Advanced Heart Failure Program location open on Norton Brownsboro campus

Norton Heart & Vascular Institute Advanced Heart Failure Program has opened a second location at 4915 Norton Healthcare Blvd. on the Norton Brownsboro Hospital campus. Providers will see referred patients with a heart failure diagnosis at the new location Monday through Thursday. The new clinic will provide more convenient access in the area for an increasing number of heart failure patients.

Led by Kelly C. McCants, M.D., cardiologist and medical director of Norton Heart & Vascular Institute Advanced Heart Failure Program, the goal of the program is to manage each patient in the outpatient setting. Our board-certified and fellowship-trained cardiologists treat a full range of congestive heart failure stages:

  • Newly diagnosed heart failure patients
  • Class 1 and Class 2 heart failure patients who require education and medication
  • Class 3 and 4 heart failure patients who require close monitoring and support, including IV diuretics, lab monitoring, diagnostic tools such as ReDS Vest or LifeVest wearable defibrillator, and ventricular assist device (VAD) management
  • Patients referred for cardiac transplantation

There is also a program located on the Norton Audubon Hospital campus.
