The affiliation between Norton Healthcare, UofL Physicians – Pediatrics and the University of Louisville School of Medicine makes it easier for children and their families to access comprehensive behavioral and mental health services connected to the Norton Children’s network of care.
Norton Children’s Behavioral & Mental Health, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine, provides outpatient and inpatient care for children ages 2-17. Outpatient care is provided through the Bingham Clinic, and inpatient care is provided at Norton Children’s Hospital through the Ackerly Child Psychiatric Unit. Patients and their families have access to careful psychiatric and psychological evaluation and treatments resulting in a full range of services, including pharmacotherapy; individual psychotherapy; family therapy; expressive therapies; play and group therapy; education; and the determination of what role medications may or may not play in treatments.

The Norton Children’s network provides a collaboration between subspecialties with improved continuity of care through Epic electronic medical records throughout the Norton Children’s system. Norton EpicLink allows providers to make a referral and stay connected to their patient’s progress, testing and care notes for any encounter in the system.
